In the aftermath of Hurricane Maria’s destruction of Puerto Rico (October 2017), ReNew went to work in the town of Caguas, working directly with the Gosen Iglesia de la Familia (the Gosen Family Church). Pre-storm, the congregation conducted an extensive community-based ministry, and their building served as a major “service center.” Gosén’s building was rebuilt with ReNew funds and construction teams, investing $45,000 into the project.
This included all the necessary materials to restore the worship space, educational wing, and administrative offices. Today, while Puerto Rico continues to recover, Gosén’s ministry has been restored, and they are again working activity in their community. Designated donations to the Gosén project can still be forwarded directly to the congregation.
